Questions from my couples and families…
Were you always Wild Teacup?
No, before Wild Teacup I owned Century Effects Photography. The rebrand came after some soul searching and following my love of weddings, wild flowers and of course teacups.
Where can we find your price list?
I like to keep my prices simple with wide range for clients to choose from to match their budget and needs. You can see prices under Investment here.
How do we book with you?
Wedding dates are booked with the first couple to sign a contract and pay their $100 deposit to hold the date. Contracts are signed in paper or digitally, I love meeting with couples and signing good old fashion paper copies (but do have digital contracts for those coming in from out of town), payments can be made with check, cash or credit card.
Do we get to meet you ahead of time for our wedding?
That’s totally up to you! Most of my clients come from out of town for both weddings and family events so I often work by phone or email. But I’m here as much or as little as you’d like. And if you are interested in a site preparation visit or rehearsal dinner we can discuss adding that into the contract as well!
What Payment types do you accept?
Cash, check or card. I carry a card reader with me but prefer to deal with money before the wedding day as the day of is no time to worry about money! I do get charged credit card fees so I prefer cash or check when available.
Do you have a travel fee?
All wedding packages include travel, for Family Session locations outside of the Bend Area within Central Oregon I charge a flat $25, for overnights I charge for gas and accommodation, for day locations outside of Central Oregon I charge .55 a mile.
How soon will the photos be ready?
I do my best to get photos enhanced and edited within 2-3 weeks, at latest 4 weeks. I am a strong believer in communication and will let my couples know a time frame. Rushed deliveries and 24 hour Sneak Peaks are available.
How many photos will we get?
Family Sessions depend on the session type and how many people. I don’t guarantee a minimum photo count but I also don’t cap it either. You’ll get more cute photos than you know what to do with! Typically a full wedding yields 400-600 photos. Sometimes weddings produce a lot of photos and some not as many, there are many factors out of my control. My job is to roll with the punches and capture it all!
How is the final collection delivered?
In an online viewing gallery where you can view, download, share and order prints. You get full rights to the photos in your gallery.
Will the final album be fully edited?
Yes, every photo is edited to the extent you see on this site. If you have a specific look in mind or specific editing needs just let me know ahead of time.
Do we have to order prints through you?
Every package comes with a printing release so you’re welcome to print your images whenever, wherever you’d like, including with me.
Can we do our engagement sessions with you?
Of course! Who doesn’t love a good engagement session? We can do a quick hour session to capture your best or hang out for a few hours to get a relaxed feel. I think engagement sessions are good practice for the big day and we schedule around your practice hair and makeup sessions as well.
How do you deal with posed family photos on the wedding day?
I love family photos, they are always the most colorful of the collection! We can get as many or as few as the couple likes. I like to keep this part of the day simple and moving quickly so everyone can get back to the party! With large groups I tend to focus on simplicity and making sure everyone is accounted for.
What happens if you become ill?
I will be there. In the rare event that something beyond my powers prevents me from attending your wedding, I will do everything that is in my power to find you a suitable replacement and I know many of the best in Bend.
Do you work with kids?
Ummm, yes. I love kids, I have four of my own! The more the merrier! Here is a great guide to sessions with kids.
Can I bring by dog to the photoshoot?
Yes, but I always caution to keep your expectations low and know that they won’t be in every photo. Generally, dogs have a short attention span for photoshoots and some really don’t like a stranger taking their picture. Usually with pets we split the session in half. Half with pup half without. Make sure you have a plan for what to do with your pup when he’s not in the lime light.
What do I wear to my Family Session?
I have summarized all my What to Wear tips here!
Are you a full time photographer?
I am! Photography is one of my many passions, so are my children, my Husband and our house! We love a good house project and own a vintage camper I can’t stop renovating! I also hold a Master’s Degree and run an Etsy Shop. I’m a Bend native and love playing tour guide to visitors! My dream job is to own a wedding venue or bed and breakfast.
